The project team chose aluminum perforated sunshade panels with integrated restrictive vent designs tailored for enhanced airflow and solar deflection. The panels were 2mm thick with 40% open area and coated with high-performance PVDF. Vent panels were placed at calculated intervals to promote convection without exposing internal machinery to dust or pests.
The engineers applied ISO 6946 standards for thermal resistance and consulted ASTM International for corrosion resistance performance. Compared to their prior setup, the new metal sunshade reduced internal temperatures by up to 12°C. The embedded vents reduced trapped heat and improved passive airflow.
Additionally, ASCE Engineering guidelines helped ensure structural resilience against wind load and temperature fluctuations. The combination of shielding and venting aligned with both safety and sustainability goals.
The design followed not only ISO standards but also recommendations from the Acoustical Society of America for minimizing noise reverberation inside facilities. For visual appeal, design inspiration was drawn from Architectural Digest highlighting modern industrial aesthetics.
